This scanner’s recently developed PaperStream IP driver and image processing database applications combined along with its PaperStream Capture software delivers abridged and programmed batch scanning routines that converts sets of documents into pre-arranged work routines.

What are the key features of this scanner?

The Fujitsu Fi-7160 scanner supports USB 3.0 and is well engineered to make your scanning tasks faster. It can scan up to 60 sheets or 120 pages per minute in A4, colored, duplex, at 300 dpi. This scanner has also made it simple to scan a mixed batch that has sheets of different sizes and thicknesses. It mechanically smooths down any document that may have been fed unevenly and PaperStream IP also automatically corrects any residual  disproportions.

This unit has an ultrasonic sensor which distinguishes if two or more sheets were fed in and sends an error message. User support is also available through its LCD panel that displays operation flows and allows you to select profiles directly on the device, check the quantity of scanned documents as well as any status messages.

  • Connection to cloud services is through  Brother’s Web Connect service (may not be safe for your cloud documents as they can view and manage your spreadsheets, documents and files in Google Drive)
  • Turning off the unit by pressing the power button erases the network settings

In general, this scanner can be a reasonable purchase with decent features such as wireless scanning functionality and lots of added software for use. If the limitations are things that you can live with then this can be a good choice considering its acceptable price tag in the market.
