Wacom Intuos Creative Stylus is a professional-grade device for your iPad where you can create digital art naturally with a pressure-sensitive pen that has palm rejection feature and lets you draw, sketch, and paint on your iPad with the artistic feel of traditional tools.

What are they key features of this Stylus Pen?

Starting with the design and build, this Intuos Creative Stylus is a small (5.3 inches long, 0.4 inches wide), lightweight (0.88 oz) and has a strong, durable casing that holds two extra rubber nubs, the included AAAA battery. The top half is built with brushed aluminum and the bottom is enclosed in a nice soft touch grip. Its rubber tip kind of feels like a magic marker on glass when writing or sketching into your iPad.

This stylus offers a number of hardware features that will definitely be appealing to digital artists. First is a pressure-sensitive tip with 2,048 levels of sensitivity, two side switches offer easy access to shortcuts, and a Bluetooth 4-enabled support for palm rejection. With the first feature, the pen lets you take control the thickness and relative granular measurements of the strokes depending on the of the force being applied to the stylus, the second is an easy access button for eraser or undo features, and the third lets the iPad only recognize the stylus—and not your hand or palm resting on the screen.

PROS

  • Easy and comfortable fit on hand when sketching/drawing
  • Comes with durable case, and extra nibs.
  • Pressure sensitivity works perfectly
  • Useful shortcut buttons for erasing/undo
  • Simple to set-up and pair with iPad
  • Comfortably enough weight of the pen when sketching
  • Pressure sensitivity, palm-rejection and shortcut functionality works perfectly with Bamboo Paper, Inkist, Flipink, ibisPaint, Adobe Ideas, ZenBrush and MyScript Notes.

CONS

  • Some light strokes do not register
  • Chunky tip makes the pen less precise when doing fine lines
  • Battery is not rechargeable
  • Accidental press of the button can disrupt workflow
  • Not compatible with Android app devices

This stylus is best recommended for digital artists or designers that does their creations digitally on the iPad as this device would be pricey for casual iPad users. Although this pen does not have the best precision compared to other stylus out there in the market, it offers the great pressure sensitivity as that with the Adonit Jot Touch 4 (which has a better fine tip).

By the looks of it, it is nearly identical to its predecessor. Look further and this drawing tool will impress you with its impressing improvements and upgrades. More so, it is more affordable than the previous model too!

What are the key features of this stylus

There are no other stylus in the market that has a fine tip like the Adonit Jot Touch 4 Bluetooth Pressure Sensitive Stylus and all other Adjonit models has. This feature is most responsible for the delivery precision that this stylus offers with which you can exactly see where the tip of the pen hits on your iPad. It has a metal body and a rubber finger grip, with two shortcut buttons and a dual-color power gauge (that lights red and green). Adonit still kept the same screw-on cap, magnetic USB charging dock on this model and continues to offer it in rich red or dark gunmetal gray.

A remarkable addition on the features of this stylus is the palm rejection. With this features digital artists need not worry of the iPad being confused of whether it is the palm or the stylus that is hitting the surface. Apart from the pen’s tip, it will ignore other touch points generated so your hand can rest or move freely on the display. This makes the artists feel like they are actually drawing on paper.

PROS

  • Palm rejection allows you to rest your hand on the display screen while you work.
  • Amazing battery life that extends up to 30 days of active use per battery charge (original version has only up to 8 hours)
  • Solid aluminum construction with a smart perceptive design
  • Pressure sensor reaches up to 2,048 levels of sensitivity (original Jot Touch only offers 240-256)
  • Rough battery indicator
  • Great compatibility with iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, iPad Mini
  • Useful shortcut buttons where you can quickly undo or switch colors with the flick or a finger
  • Bluetooth 4.0

CONS

  • Apps that support pinch-zoom screen is not capable of the palm-rejection feature although there are apps that can turn this off.
  • Can be a bit noisy as the disc hits the screen (not recommended in using it in a quiet environment – like in the library)

This stylus is the best by far when it comes to precision. Its palm rejection works great although you may have to find the best app that will match this great feature.
